Data Analyst

A leading global provider of new generation IT solutions to the Travel, Transportation and Logistics industries is looking for a Data Analyst to work virtually from the UK. The successful candidate will need to have a firm understanding of the travel industry. They are looking for a candidate that is passionate about project management and data analysis. This person will deliver both analytical and operational support to the team and clients during projects by visualizing, analysing and interpreting data to deliver creative business solutions and insights. Amongst other tasks, this role will need to ensure seamless interaction with Consultants, Data Engineers and Travel Suppliers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage multiple, complex project components, under tight deadlines.
  • Strong project drive and timely execution of project steps according to agreed timelines
  • Proactively find opportunities to optimize existing tools and processes
  • Serve as a liaison between Consultants and Engineers to transform Clients’ requirements into Technical specifications
  • Develop dashboards for internal and external clients to take data-driven decisions
  • Communication champion towards Consultants and any other internal or external partners
  • Collaborate with other Consulting Analysts, Consultants, Managers and other colleagues as well as clients whenever necessary

About you:

  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience collecting, normalizing, and consolidating different data sources accurately
  • Visual communication skills with experience on Business Intelligence software (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Basic fluency in SQL and programming languages (R or Python)
  • Proficiency in project management is required
  • Strong written and speaking skills to communicate complex outcomes and ideas in a simple, clear and concise way
  • Adapt communication and level of details required to different partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both within a team and as an independent contributor
  • Critical thinking skills and proactive mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with a self-motivated personality and an ability to exceed expectations in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
  • Exemplary and demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail / quality control
  • Cross-cultural mindset
  • Flexibility in working with stakeholders from different worldwide regions
  • Ability to work remotely whenever and if necessary while interacting with colleagues to foster team spirit

Experience and Qualification:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Management, or Economics
