£30,000 - £35,000/annum Negotiable depending on experience.

As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a talented IT Support Engineer to join our team in Hedge End, Southampton.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive hardware and software systems support to our internal teams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, resolving technical issues, and optimizing our IT infrastructure to support our business objectives.

Key skills:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal users, addressing hardware and software systems issues promptly and effectively.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, including laptops, printers/peripherals, mobile/tablet, servers, and networks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to resolve escalated issues and implement solutions.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as new starter processes, system upgrades and deployments.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and inventory.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Solid understanding of hardware components, operating systems (Windows), mobile devices (Android), and productivity software (Office 365, Salesforce and bespoke tools).
  • Knowledge of server and networking concepts and protocols (Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN).
  • Security and antivirus.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting issues, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, etc) are a plus.
