Working in the Government and Housing area of NEC Software Solutions the DevOps Engineer will be part of a small DevOps team that deploys and manages NECSWS cloud-based SaaS offerings deployed in public and private clouds.

The team works with a wide range of technologies so the successful candidate will need to be able to rapidly understand new technology, including troubleshooting. They will also contribute to the selection of new technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Deploy and provide operational support to the existing and new SaaS offerings.
• Support the design, development, testing and continuous improvement of DevOps Solutions
• Collaborate with the team, other NEC SWS business units and stakeholders to deliver DevOps projects considering cost, timeline, priority and committed deliverables.
• Design and deliver DevOps projects that ensure applications are cost effective and secure while meeting operational targets (including 24x7).
• Documenting solutions including deployment, troubleshooting and disaster recovery plans.
• Execute business continuity and disaster recovery plans including yearly testing.
• Contribute to innovative solutions to enhance DevOps processes (CI/CD, etc)
• Provide support to development teams.
• Participate in architecture, requirements, and planning sessions with project owners and stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and prioritise their own workload based on the current requirements and priorities.
