Role Purpose:

The Delivery Director will be responsible for leading the delivery of a modernised Human Capital Management (HCM) solution to replace a legacy core HR system and a number of associated point solutions across areas such as recruitment and learning. This role will lead all aspects of programme delivery over a multi-year period, ensuring the programme comes in on time, budget and delivers the planned benefits to meet the complex needs of a multi-stakeholder environment.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that the charity can effectively support its beneficiaries through the efficient use of modern technology and processes, ultimately enhancing the overall service delivery to armed forces veterans and their families. The Delivery Director will be a key figure in driving this significant change within the organisation.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Ownership and responsibility for successful end-to-end programme design and delivery encompassing technology, data, supplier management, delivery governance, stakeholder engagement, and human change management.
  2. Engaging and galvanising a multidisciplinary programme team toward the mission of successful programme implementation and benefits realisation, in a framework that recognises and respects their functional responsibilities and reporting lines.
  3. Building effective working relationships with professions across the organisation and their leadership that are intrinsic to the programme (e.g. procurement, technology, internal communications, change management etc.) as well as with key suppliers.
  4. Implementing and maintaining programme governance and delivery in line with the organisation's approach to these for strategic programmes.
  5. Working in deep cooperation with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) Team to ensure coherence with the charity's strategic change Portfolio of which HRIS forms a part. Planning and working closely with other programmes in the Portfolio to manage any interdependencies effectively.

Requirements:

  • Leadership: Proven track record of having successfully led end-to end enterprise-wide HR information systems implementation programmes that have human change at their core.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of HRIS functionalities, including but not limited to data structures and system configuration, with proficiency in configuring and customising HRIS systems to meet specific organisational requirements. Ability to lead effectively inputs from technical programme team members.
  • Change Management Expertise: Strong background in human change management enterprise-wide in complex environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align programme deliverables with strategic goals and articulate programme vision and ongoing delivery against this vision to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with the ability to navigate a complex multi-stakeholder environment, building effective partnership working across the charity to support programme delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
