QA Automation Engineer

• Hybrid – Fareham (days onsite)
• Inside IR35
• Rate: £350-400 per day  
• Initially 6 month contract

VIQU have partnered with an international powerhouse seeking to bring onboard an experienced QA contractor to join their high performing team.

Experience Required for the QA Automation Engineer:

• Min 5 years quality assurance experience. This must be hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing.
• Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development.
• Experience with API testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (section below)
• Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
• Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as they test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.
• Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams. 

Tools:

• Automation tools - Playwright, Selenium, PHPUnit, Jest
• Postman
• Github actions
• Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS.
• Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github
• JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool
• CI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.
• AWS / Azure experience is beneficial
• ecommerce applications experience is beneficial
