Major IT have partnered with a leading managed services business on an exclusive arrangement.  As a company my client has achieved ISO status and Microsoft Gold Partner accreditations by delivering excellent customer quality and high end service delivery.

The business also operates UK wide working across a number of SME’s and large Corporations with a client list that is looking to continue to grow around 20% year on year.

As a result of continued expansion, my client has immediate requirements for an Installation Manager to work across service delivery, providing technical expertise including staff management and 3 direct reports. 

You will head up the engineer coordination team playing a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of projects related to Unified Communication & Managed Services. You will encompass various management and admin duties aimed at supporting my clients Projects Team and ensure successful project delivery across an extensive client based in Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will come from a similar fast paced environment ideally managed services or telecommunications background with at least 2 years team lead or management background.

As an installation manager you will have a technical ‘hands on’ approach, in dealing with my clients channels partners, supporting and engaging the wider team including exposure of compiling technical quotations and monitor engineering teams diaries with a good understanding of location mapping.

The job also includes shift working patterns: 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm, and 10am – 6pm, all scheduled on weekdays.

Skills and responsibilities

  • You will manage the engineer coordination team to ensure that key SLAs & KPIs are met for project delivery
  • You will report on key milestones to the director of professional services, weekly utilisation, customer and team feedback
  • You will assist the coordination team with quoting of engineering projects, assessing time and material requirements across multiple sites and sizes of project including cabling, voice deployment and IT systems
  • You will consult with field engineers & their management to resolve and discuss on site challenges
  • Coordinating with engineers and scheduling their activities for various projects
  • You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing them with updates on the project's progress and address any queries or concerns
  • You will be responsible for liaising with the purchasing team to raise purchase orders for various projects and ability to keep accurate records and adhere to the procurement process
  • You will be responsible for submitting completed project works for internal teams
