Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading healthcare provider based in London who are currently looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of my clients Linux servers and web hosting environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WHM and cPanel, website management, and secure communications over the web.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage WHM and cPanel for web hosting environments.
• Oversee website management, including WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage secure communications protocols such as SSL, SSH, FTPS, and HTTPS.
• Ensure systems comply with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 standards.
• Perform regular security audits and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing necessary patches and updates.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Expertise in WHM and cPanel.
• Extensive experience in website management, including WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of secure communication protocols (SSL, SSH, FTPS, HTTPS).
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
