Test Team Principal
Contract until 31st of March 2025
Cardiff – Hybrid or remote working
£200 per day Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Our client is a leading organisation in national health programs, driving significant digital transformations that impact the people of Wales. As part of their ongoing initiatives, they are seeking a Test Team Principal to manage testing requirements for crucial systems within their digital health programs.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in test methodologies and industry standards, developing and maintaining knowledge of test tools like Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.
- Analyze IT, business, and clinical processes to develop comprehensive Test Strategies, Plans, Cases, and Scripts.
- Write, report, and present testing outcomes in alignment with project requirements.
- Advise on test environment design, defect management, and quality control procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the Test Framework for national systems.
- Organize and manage testing activities, including Systems and Integration Testing, Operational Acceptance Testing, User Assurance Testing, Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.
- Mentor and oversee the professional development of Senior Test and Test Analysts.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and quality assurance criteria.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including third-party suppliers and NHS staff, to facilitate service delivery and issue resolution.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of PRINCE 2 project management methodology
Skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio Team System (Team Edition) and Microsoft Visual Studio Team System Web Access
- Extensive experience in managing testing for complex technology projects.
- Proven ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and matrices.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience working within the NHS
Working Arrangements:
The office base is in Cardiff. Occasional onsite work may be required without negotiation on the day rate. Flexibility and adaptability to changing working arrangements are essential.
