Due to rapid growth, we are looking for Cloud Security Engineer for an established business based in London that is a specialist in the cryptocurrency markets, combining deep expertise with leading quantitative trading strategies.

The Opportunity

This role offers you the chance to build the robust and scalable infrastructure powering our next-generation Web3 trading tools. As our DevSecOps in charge, you will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our real-time dashboards, trading terminals, and data visualisation platforms, enabling seamless user experiences at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor our systems for security: This involves keeping an eye on system activity and logs to identify any suspicious behaviour that could indicate a security threat.
• Help implement cloud security: You will work with the engineering team to ensure our cloud environments are configured securely and follow best practices.
• Contribute to secure software development: You will collaborate with engineers to define secure ways to build and update our software, helping to prevent vulnerabilities from being introduced.
• Promote security awareness: You will help create a culture of security within the team by sharing your knowledge and best practices.
• Stay on top of security trends: You will keep yourself updated on the latest security threats and emerging trends to ensure we are using the most effective security measures.

Qualifications:

• Solid foundation in IT: A strong understanding of core IT concepts, including Linux and basic networking, is essential.
• Cloud experience a plus: Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a passion for security.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills: You will need strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot potential security issues.
